Scholarships!

Scholarships are available for Summer Strings.

HOW IT ALL WORKS AT OUR END.
We have to pay for instructors, some of whom drive over 45 minutes to get here. We have to pay for music copying and some new music. We have to pay to use the facility to cover exorbitant utility costs (like $1500 a month!) The cost to you for the Summer Strings Level I class on the low end  of the scale is $90 (which does not cover all our costs). Yes it would be nice to have it free, but our teachers have to buy groceries and pay rent. So if this is still too much for you to pay... what to do?

DON'T JUST GIVE UP IN DESPAIR.

Figure out what you CAN pay.
By May 10 please tell us how much more you need .

We will consider all requests and try to divide the scholarship money and time we have fairly among all scholarship requests.  We will let you know by May 18th.

This is the way scholarships for higher education, summer programs, and special trainings always work so consider this good practice. We all need scholarship help somewhere along the line in our lives. You consider your ability to provide first and then state what more you need.

Your child has talent and motivation.  Music makes your child happy and keeps them occupied. We want our motivated MUSICA! BRIDGE students to be able to participate. We will do our best to help you. We want to consider all requests on schedule and in a fair manner.

Send in those registration forms with scholarship requests by MAY 10!
Thank you!
